Started in 1995 by Dr. Adriane J. Collins (joined by Dr. Michael T. Gray), South Shore Infectious Disease Center has been providing specialized infectious disease care for Long Island residents for over 21 years.
With offices in Bay Shore and Syosset, South Shore Infectious Disease Center maintains close ties with our local communities. Our infectious disease specialists have great relationships with Primary Care Physicians (PCP’s) across Long Island and coordinate with them to provide the best care to our patients.
We understand our community and their needs.
Unlike many infectious disease centers, we treat patients in both in-patient and out-patient settings. This promotes good patent care due to continuity from hospital to home, and allows ease of appointment for various infectious disease concerns.
What does that mean for you?
Whether you are in the hospital or not, you will have access to our infectious disease specialists!
Most infectious disease specialists generally work in a hospital and do not make themselves available to patients once they have left the hospital.
South Shore Infectious Disease Center offers in-office outpatient services, including care and monitoring, after a patient has been discharged from the hospital. Furthermore, our infectious disease specialists are always available for patient follow-ups.
Our patients are satisfied with our level of care.
Most infectious disease specialists do not take insurance, they are cash-only! As a results, many patients do not get the care that they need.
South Shore Infectious Disease Center accepts insurance (click here to see the full list). Many of our patients come from throughout Long Island (and New York City) for that very reason.
